Actually, I just left middle school and I had the same tote in Pinwheel Pink. I thought it was a better idea to have a bigger bag to keep my books in. It was extremely helpful. Also, I don't think anybody will laugh at you because Vera Bradley is soo cute and they are probably going to be jealous!! :) Don't sweat the bag issues, and don't worry about what kind of bag your going to need.
