Laptops – all but useless – unless you have stellar typing skills, like 100wpm, you’re not going to be able to keep up (plus it’s more added weight in the backpack) – so it’s my advice to just take notes longhand and bring a taperecorder to the lecture classes (so you can fill in the gaps in your notes).
